Shot Types

The use of the long shot of the four girls helps to emphasise that they are walking through a school corridor. The audience can tell this as a result of the lockers which are on the wall, as well as the Sharks sports team, which could be the school sport team and mascot. The girls also appear to be wearing casual clothing and carrying bags which appear heavy, which could be suggesting that they are carrying their school books.

The use of the extreme long shot in the Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2 shows the audience the location where the film is going to be set. The snowy setting could be suggesting that it has been filmed in the winter months, and the characters will be wearing winter clothing. The setting is also portrayed as being rather isolated, as there is not any buildings shown within the shot.

Shot Types

This is an example of a close up shot. It shows an image of a young female, who appears to be attempting to silence somebody. The girl, a star of hit TV show 'Pretty Little Liars' also shows a blank facial expression, however her emotion is shown by the use of her finger to her lips. The character is also using a direct address, as she is staring directly into the camera, which could be suggesting she is telling the audience to be quiet.

This GIF is an example of an extreme close up shot. The shot displays a female applying lipstick to her lips, using a makeup brush. The use of the extreme close up shot suggests that the director does not want us to know who the lips belong too, however they could attempt to give the audience an idea by using other extreme close ups of other body parts.

The use of the medium shot within this image helps to portray the body language of the four girls. None of the four females are looking directly at the camera, which could suggest that they have done something, and cannot look the audience in the face. All four females appear to be deep in thought. The background to the image shows some scenery, including a dull sky. There is not much scenery which signifies that they are in a public place, which could be highlighting that they are in a remote place.
